		Green Spirit Mug: small: $38, 4 1/4 inches tall, 14 ounce capacity medium: $40, 5 3/8 inches tall, 19 ounce capacity large: $45, 6 inches tall, 32 ounce capacity The face of each mug is pressed and carved from a slab-built cylinder while the clay is still wet. I carved a little clay stamp for the acorns. A green slip is then applied and the leaves are drawn through the slip in a process know as scrafitto. The mug is then fired and glazed with a translucent green celadon. Each face is unique.
						The archetypal image of the green man is an ancient symbol of irrepressible life. knowledge, and the unity of humanity and nature. Although the leaf-face image is typically called green "man", I often use the phrase green spirit to include male and female aspects.
